I want to say to you who visit this blog, that what is written here will not be in anyway shape or form perfect, because I'm in no way perfect-far from it. I don't think there is anyone that is perfect, and that is that. I do however, believe in sharing smiles, and being as good as I can be to others. I can only share from my heart and wish to be as truthful as possible to all. I am a Christian, and have a real Love for God. Christ Jesus is my professed Lord and Savior. I have had a real walk with Jesus since I was a child. I am not going to preach, I just wanted to share. I started quilting for the first time in 2006, when my sister first introduced me to the experience. Of course, as it quite often happens--I was hooked!!! I instantly fell in love with the concept of taking pieces of fabric, and putting them together to create a beautiful quilt. What a joy to know that you can take odds and ends, and things of different colors, shapes, and sizes , put them together and waaaallllllllaah -- No not a mess, but a gorgeous quilt that will keep generations to come warm and cozy. Whats not to love about that, I ask!!! Especially, when we are cold and in need of warmth. Quilters are wonderful people too, I find. They are just like the quilts they make. Colorful, of different backgrounds, sizes and shapes and they are warm , caring people who give to charities some of the wonderful quilts they create to share the warmth they have. I find that where ever you go, if you happen to be a quilter and meet another quilter there is an instant bond. A commonality that is shared and a love that can't be denied. I always like to say that quilters always bind in the end. Smiles 2 U
